What to Expect

What to Expect: Your First Visit to Our Edmonds Chiropractic Clinic

At Optimal Health Chiropractic and Massage Clinic, part of our job is to help reduce pain, stress and tension. This includes minimizing any stress involved with your first visit to our chiropractor in Edmonds, WA. It starts with making our online forms available so you can get started in the comfort of your own home. Once you have your forms filled out, contact us for your initial appointment. We do accept walk-ins, but for your first visit, we recommend scheduling an appointment.

Your First Visit to Optimal Health Chiropractic and Massage

Upon arriving at our offices, we'll process your paperwork and talk to you about your health, lifestyle, and expectations from chiropractic care. We'll talk a bit about the full range of chiropractic services we provide, and how they help to holistically assist the body in healing itself.

On your first visit, we'll introduce you to our team and show you the layout of our offices. We want you to be comfortable in your visits to Optimal Health.

If you are presently in pain, we'll examine you to try to determine the source of that pain. The examination may include a spinal and postural exam. X-ray images may be necessary. Following your exam and imaging, we will determine the core source of your discomfort. We will then discuss a treatment plan for your specific issues.

When pain is present, we usually conduct your first treatment during that initial visit. Many of our patients discover at least some level of relief even after just one treatment. Depending on the severity of your problem, you may need two or three treatments per week over a few months. This is called Relief Care, and it's designed to provide relief from pain without the use of drugs.

Corrective/Restorative Care

The next phase of treatment from our chiropractor in Edmonds, WA is corrective/restorative care. This portion of treatment is designed to restore the body to full 100% functionality. Again, depending on the severity of the problem, treatments may take from six months to two years. Restorative care will get your body's spine, nerves, and muscles in proper alignment for optimum health.

Wellness Care

Once pain is relieved and your body is restored to proper alignment, we suggest at least monthly visits for wellness care.
